About your hosts

Peter originates from Marlborough, in the north of the South Island and is a builder by trade. He is a keen hunter and loves fishing, genealogy and he makes furniture. Peter is also in the process of building a boat.

Annette originates from the Wairarapa in the North Island. She has eight brothers and sisters so is used to having lots of people around and warmly welcomes them. She enjoys gardening, cooking and reading, jig-saws and animals - you are likely to be met by Paris the German short-haired pointer or Max and Ollie the cats.

Travel has been an enjoyable part of our lives and we have been to several places, including the USA, Britain, Ireland, Bali, Australia, Fiji and have travelled extensively throughout New Zealand.

We have owned and operated accommodation places for the past 16 years, firstly in Franz Josef and then in Picton so we feel we know what our guest's needs are and we strive to provide high quality accommodation for them.
